Introductory Rodeo Queen Clinic - March 16, 2013

Join us on Saturday, March 16 for an Introduction to Rodeo Queen Pageants clinic with lead instructor Alyssa Morrison. Alyssa reigned as Miss Rodeo Kansas 2011 and was named 3rd Runner-up at the 2012 Miss Rodeo America Pageant. Joining Alyssa will be pageant coordinator Bobbie Hinds, Miss Rodeo Kansas 1991 and Miss Rodeo America Top Ten Finalist. Bobbie has extensive experience judging and coordinating local, state and regional pageants and is the founder and owner of RodeoRoyalty.com.
The fee for participants ages 10 - 24 is $50 and other guests may attend for $15. Lunch and snacks will be served. Participants will view video, participate in question and answer sessions, practice their modeling and public speaking skills and more. Parents are encouraged to attend the clinic to learn alongside their daughters. An information pack is also included for pageant participants.
The event will be held at the clubhouse at the North Topeka Saddle Club arena on Northwest Topeka Boulevard and is a fundraiser for the Miss Rodeo Topeka Pageant.
Clinic participants will receive classroom and hands-on instruction in all areas of rodeo queen pageant competition. These will include:
* Appearance - Wardrobe requirements & selection; Hair and make-up; Photogenics
* Horsemanship - Expectations & judging criteriaInterviews
* Public Speaking - Prepared & Impromptu
* Personal Interviews
* Expectations of Rodeo Ambassadors
Registrations must be received on or before March 4 to receive the early-bird fee. After March 4 fees will raise to $75 and $30. Print the registration form and mail to coordinator Bobbie Hinds.

Crystal Allmon - Miss Rodeo Topeka 2012

Reigning Miss Rodeo Topeka Crystal Allmon will also be on hand to answer questions about her duties and experiences as the first Miss Rodeo Topeka. Crystal will be making an appearance at Roy Frey Western Lifestyles during the clinic, too. The clinic will end at 4:00 p.m. so participants will have time to shop the annual boot sale at Roy Frey.
